100% Record and Barclaycard Manager of the Month Award for Moyes

Everton Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of David Moyes as manager.

Moyes, 59, returns to Goodison Park after 11 years away. He previously managed Everton from 2002 to 2013, and led the club to a number of successes, including the FA Cup final in 2009.

Moyes replaces Marco Silva, who was sacked following a poor run of form in the Premier League. Everton are currently 16th in the table, having won just two of their first 12 games of the 2019/20 season.

Moyes is a highly experienced manager, having also had spells in charge of Manchester United, Real Sociedad, and West Ham United. He is known for his pragmatic approach to football, and his ability to get the best out of his players.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said: "We are delighted to welcome David back to Everton. He is a proven manager with a track record of success, and we are confident that he can help us to achieve our ambitions."

Moyes said: "I am excited to be back at Everton. This is a great club with a rich history, and I am determined to help us to build on the progress that we have made in recent years."
